Moments of pride!  An Indian is the chairman of the executive board of the World Health Organization

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan is set to take over as chairman of the executive board of the World Health Organization (WHO).  He will lead the 32-member Hu's committee from May 22.  Harshavardhana is said to be taking over the post after the expiration of Hiroki Nakatani of Japan.

A total of 194 countries signed a proposal to appoint an Indian chairman to this important post of Hu on Tuesday.  However, long before this official episode, it was decided in 2019 that Hiroki Nakatani's term would expire in May 2020 and the Indian representative would be appointed to the post.

Harsh Vardhan in the final preoccupation with the Corona situation of the country at the moment.  However, since the executive committee meets face to face twice a year, Harsh Vardhan will be able to handle the responsibilities smoothly, according to the concerned quarters.

Harsh Vardhan held a meeting at the 63rd World Health Conference on Monday through video conferencing.  He spoke of India's activism to stop Corona there.

Corona's relationship with Hu has deteriorated in the United States.  Experts say that in this situation, this new responsibility of increasing happiness is also important in international relations.
